Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff. Foster a warm and supportive environment that encourages resident engagement and social interaction. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care home environment at all times. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong command of English, both written and spoken, to facilitate effective communication with residents and staff. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families. Basic IT skills for documentation purposes; familiarity with healthcare software is an advantage. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in your care.
