Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in their own homes. As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort Prepare meals and assist with feeding as necessary, adhering to dietary requirements Maintain a clean and safe environment in the client's home Follow care plans as outlined by healthcare professionals to meet individual client needs Document daily activities and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate personnel Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required

Experience

Previous experience in home care or care home settings is preferred but not essential Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are advantageous A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation of clients
