Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care are essential for success in this position.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that individual needs are met. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Support residents in social activities to promote engagement and enhance their quality of life. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring safe transportation for clients. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. A good command of English is necessary for effective communication with residents and colleagues. Strong IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and using healthcare software. Excellent communication skills are vital for interacting with residents, families, and the healthcare team. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between care locations.
