Sydenham House Medical Group is looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant to become a part of our busy care giving team at our General Practice sites in Hastings. We are searching for a dedicated, compassionate and energetic individual to be a vital link between our patients, the nurses and the wider team. The successful candidate will be working within the Nursing team reporting to the Nurse Manager, and will adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by government regulatory requirements, as well as Nursing standards. The ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively is essential, along with good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy and a high tolerance for working under pressure. Duties include phlebotomy, wound Care, NHS Health Checks, observations such as blood pressures and ECGs, injections, diabetic foot checks and assisting the nurses. Our Health Care Assistants should be prepared to care for patients independently, understanding when to ask for advice and support, and be prepared to work flexibly in an ever changing General Practice environment. Pay: From 12.50 per hour
