Overview

Blossom Health are seeking an experienced, caring and dedicated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our nursing team covering both of our Havant and Bedhampton practices.

The role of HCA is an essential part of our GP Practice team who provide the full range of NHS Primary Medical Services. You will be working alongside our friendly and patient focused clinical and management teams, providing an essential support function and delivering the best care to all our patients. You must work with autonomy with a high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, discretion, empathy and tact.

We are looking for a candidate with recent experience working within a healthcare setting who is competent with completing common HCA tasks that include phlebotomy, ECG recording and health checks as examples.

Duties

Undertakes task and duties delegated by the clinical and management teams. Undertaking procedures to a daily list of patients that will include tasks such as phlebotomy, blood pressure, ECG and patient checks. Ordering supplies and equipment. Escalating any changes in the health of our patients that you identify. Demonstrating a caring, proactive and positive attitude to our patients and within our team.

Skills

Proficient in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with clients and team members. Strong communication skills. Able to manage a patient case load with confidence and autonomy. Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes on a clinical system. Experience working within a healthcare care setting. Provides evidence of competency in completing HCA tasks.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.30-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
