Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals and assist in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with experience in various healthcare settings such as dermatology, urgent care, and hospital medicine. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the well-being of patients across different departments.

Responsibilities



Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs. Conduct patient intake assessments and maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Support medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient files. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, emergency medicine, and specialty clinics. Utilize knowledge of ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing processes. Engage with patients to provide excellent service, addressing their needs and concerns effectively. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to all health regulations and protocols. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in patient care and emergency procedures.

Requirements



Proven experience in a healthcare setting such as hospitals or clinics; Level I or Level II trauma center experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques. Familiarity with various specialties including geriatrics, medical-surgical, internal medicine, dermatology, PICU, OR experience, and urgent care. Proficiency in EHR systems for effective patient documentation and management. Ability to perform vital sign assessments and understand medication administration protocols. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and teamwork. A proactive approach to learning new skills related to patient care and clinical procedures. Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
