Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various home care settings. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication management. Develop and maintain care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive patients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience in home care working setting is desirable. Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively. Proficient IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting patients when necessary. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
