Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support individuals in care homes and within their own homes, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be proficient in IT, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate home care visits.

Duties

Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs Provide companionship and emotional support to service users Assist with health monitoring and reporting any concerns to senior staff Help with domestic tasks including light cleaning and meal preparation Travel between care homes or clients' residences using a vehicle, if applicable Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems Communicate effectively with colleagues, service users, and their families to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driving licence is advantageous for home care roles but not mandatory for all positions Compassionate attitude with a strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
