We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support individuals with their care plans, ensuring they receive tailored care that meets their specific needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Administer basic health checks under supervision, including monitoring vital signs
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and family members to ensure seamless care delivery
Support with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals
Assist with household tasks such as cleaning and organising to maintain a safe living environment
This is a Dom Care Service:
Areas covered:
SE3 covers Gosport, Fareham Locksheath, Southampton.
SE4 covers Havant, Waterlooville, Emsworth, Hayling Island, Petersfield and Liss.
Calls are grouped together most efficiently so you wouldn't have to go from Gosport to Southampton for example it would be merged with Fareham/Lockhealth
A short terms support service designed to help people regain independence after illness, injury or a hospital stay by teaching them to perform daily activities for themselves.
Requirements
Minimum of 6 months previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is essential.
Valid Driver's license and vehicle is required. YOU WILL BE PAID 20p P/MILE FOR TRAVEL* Medication Administration Theory
Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with clients and team members
Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
Excellent communication skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in caring for others
