Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in the care home, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities & Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the healthcare team. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Uphold the dignity and respect of all residents while fostering a safe and supportive environment. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial. Proficiency in IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, families, and team members. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
