Health Care Assistant - Day Hospice



Oakhaven Hospice Trust is a respected local hospice serving the New Forest community since 1996. We are dedicated to providing compassionate palliative care and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses, emphasizing making every moment matter for our patients and their families.

Health Care Assistant

Location:

Lymington, Hampshire.

Hours:

15 hours per week

Salary:

9,984 per annum.

About the role:



Our Day Hospice provides a warm and supportive environment for people living with life-limiting conditions. We are seeking a

compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant

to join our multidisciplinary team and help us deliver outstanding, person-centered care.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting patients with personal care and daily activities Assisting with mobility and transfers Providing emotional support and companionship Monitoring and recording patients' wellbeing Supporting therapeutic activities and group sessions Working collaboratively with nursing staff, volunteers, and other professionals

What We're Looking For:



NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care. Previous experience in a health or social care setting (Hospice or palliative care desirable) A compassionate and respectful approach to care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team The successful candidate will be expected to have a fully flexible approach to working days.
