We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in either a residential care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and overall wellbeing. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans accurately are vital to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. A proactive approach and willingness to travel between locations when required are also important for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Support individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, dressing, and mobility assistance. Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Follow and implement individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs. Observe, monitor, and report any changes in individuals' conditions or behaviour to nursing or senior staff. Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation. Promote a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines. Take part in training sessions and ongoing professional development activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

Previous experience working in a care home or domiciliary care setting is essential. Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Basic IT skills for recording and maintaining care documentation. Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately and consistently. A valid driving licence is desirable, though not essential, to support travel between locations. A caring, respectful, and professional approach with a strong commitment to high-quality care.
