Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of care plans, enabling them to deliver high-quality assistance tailored to individual needs.

Duties

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and overall health. Help with mobility and transportation, including driving patients to appointments when necessary. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Follow care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each patient. Document patient progress and any changes in condition accurately. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with IT systems used for patient records is an advantage. Strong command of English for effective communication with patients and team members.

Pay: 12.70 per hour
