Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. A valid driving licence is preferred for those involved in home care duties.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team. Drive to patients' homes as required, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to health and safety regulations. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients. Assist with basic IT tasks related to patient documentation and communication.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Competence in following care plans and adapting to individual patient needs. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving home visits. Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
