Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will play a vital part in assisting with daily activities and contributing to the development and implementation of care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and review care plans that meet the needs of each resident. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a warm and friendly environment. Ensure a clean and safe living environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members. Basic IT skills are required for maintaining records and using electronic systems. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when working independently.
