We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care home settings, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in following their care plans to meet their specific needs.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
Help with mobility and transportation needs, including driving residents to appointments when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of living spaces, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care tailored to each individual.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping tasks.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as needed.
A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
