The Jefferiss Wing at St Mary's Hospital is on the lookout for a proactive, empathetic, and non-judgmental Healthcare Assistant to join our forward-thinking nursing team within the Integrated Sexual Health Service.

What You'll Do:

Support clinics with sample collection and processing, phlebotomy, microscopy, and chaperoning procedures Support our expert clinicians in specialist clinics like IUT (Intrauterine Contraception) Make a real difference in people's lives every day

What We Are Looking For:

Excellent communicator (written & spoken) Confident using your initiative in a clinical setting Experience in phlebotomy or sexual health screening? Great! If not, we'll train you. Above all - empathetic, inclusive, and passionate about patient care

To work across both clinics in Jefferiss Wing - The Sexual Health clinic and The HIV Outpatient Department (The Wharfside Clinic).



To carry out care and treatment tasks, delegated from professionally qualified staff, requiring a range of technical ability.



Ensure the clinic environment is safe and clean.



Fulfil any clerical duties.



To supervise less experienced Nursing Assistants.



To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide support for any area specified by the coordinating nurse on duty.
