Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, adhering to any specific dietary needs outlined in care plans. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to healthcare professionals. Engage with clients through meaningful conversation, promoting social interaction and emotional support. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as necessary, ensuring safe transportation. Collaborate with other healthcare staff to implement care plans effectively and provide holistic support. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols.

Skills

Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using digital care management systems. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately, demonstrating attention to detail. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when required. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are crucial attributes for success in this role.
