We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in both home care and care home settings, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Support clients in maintaining their independence while providing companionship and emotional support.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Follow individual care plans meticulously while documenting any changes in client condition or behaviour.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
Experience
Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting clients as needed.
Familiarity with care plans and basic IT skills will be beneficial in fulfilling the role effectively.
