We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support individuals in following their personalised care plans, ensuring their specific needs are met.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and any concerns.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Document care provided accurately in accordance with organisational policies.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Drive to various locations as required for home care assignments.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving home visits.
A caring and empathetic nature with a passion for supporting others in need.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
