We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a hospital setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities, implement care plans, and communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing
Implement and monitor care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
Maintain accurate records of patient progress and any changes in condition.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving patients to appointments if required.
Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Basic IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently when required.
