Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including home care and care homes. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients, and maintaining clear communication with healthcare professionals and family members.

Duties

Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support patients in mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, adhering to specific dietary needs. Maintain accurate care plans and documentation of patient progress and changes in condition. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide updates on patient status. Assist in administering medication under the supervision of qualified healthcare professionals. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to home care and care home environments. Drive patients to appointments or social activities when necessary.

Requirements

Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with patients and staff. Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties but not mandatory. A caring attitude, patience, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care are essential qualities for this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.25 per hour
