We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in both home care and care home settings. This position requires excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient welfare, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
Duties
Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support patients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing emotional support and reassurance.
Document patient progress and any changes in condition accurately in care plans.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring timely arrival at appointments.
Maintain a clean and organised environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to drive and possess a valid driving licence for travel between care locations.
Experience in home care or care home settings is advantageous but not essential.
Familiarity with IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards patient care.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
