We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home or home care setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
Help with meal preparation and feeding as required.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety protocols.
Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed.
Skills
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous.
Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
Strong command of English for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
Ability to drive is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards others.
