We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in both home care and care home settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily activities, making a significant difference in the lives of those you support.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals with mobility and movement, ensuring their safety at all times.
Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary, promoting nutrition and hydration.
Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure high-quality care.
Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or to assist in care homes.
Participate in the development and review of individual care plans to meet patient needs.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
Skills
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Experience in home care or working within a care home environment is advantageous.
Ability to drive and travel between locations as needed for patient visits.
Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining records and documentation effectively.
Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately.
