Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily activities, fostering a positive and supportive environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and comfort. Help implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure high-quality care. Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff. Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home or during home visits. Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to follow care plans accurately and provide compassionate support to patients. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting patients when necessary. Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and communication tasks. A caring attitude with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in your care. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 11.50-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
