Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. You will support individuals with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions or behaviours to the nursing staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits. Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with care home or home care environments is advantageous. A good command of English is required for effective communication with patients and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations.
