Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary focus will be to assist individuals with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed. Help in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Maintain accurate care plans and documentation of patient progress. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive to patients' homes when required for home care services. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and reporting purposes. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience in home care or care home settings is advantageous. Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively. Proficient IT skills for managing patient records and documentation. A compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on their dignity and respect. Capability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
