We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively and follow care plans will be vital in delivering high-quality care to our clients.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
Communicate clearly with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each client.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition using IT systems.
Support clients in social activities and encourage engagement with their community.
Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to schedules.
Uphold the dignity and respect of all clients while providing compassionate care.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to follow care plans accurately and demonstrate attention to detail.
Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for those providing home care services.
