Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist clients with daily activities, promoting their independence and quality of life.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Help implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each client's needs. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Experience in home care or a similar setting is preferred but not essential. Proficient in English for effective communication with clients and team members. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software systems. Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
