Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a variety of settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.

Responsibilities



Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support patients in mobility and transferring safely from one location to another. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required. Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Implement care plans under the guidance of healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive to patients' homes when required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Skills



Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience or knowledge in home care practices is advantageous. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is preferred. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when necessary. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
