Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Outpatient Department .



You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills / ability to work as a member of the team / be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative. The successful applicant will be joining a team of dedicated skilled staff, which include nurses, healthcare assistants, nurse associates and doctors. We are looking for enthusiasm, motivation, flexibility, hardworking and positive thinking

We are looking for e looking for an excellent health care assistant who has an interest in women's health. You will be an advocate for the patient and maintain privacy and dignity.



Communicate clearly, effectively, and appropriately with the multi-disciplinary team, patients, and their families/visitors/carers, recognising their needs for alternative methods of communication.



Respond appropriately to queries, take phone messages, and pass on written and verbal information to patients.



Provide relevant information to patients/families/visitors/carers and colleagues.



Complete documentation accurately and contribute to reports of patient's activity and progress.



Report any issues at work that may put health, safety, and security of staff, patients and visitors at risk



Assist in maintaining a clean environment that is conducive to safe practice.



Report any accidents to the nurse in charge and complete Datix as appropriate.



Maintain adequate levels of stock, equipment and materials and facilitate the efficient, effective use of resources.
