We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to clients assisting with home care services. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and families.
Duties
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
Monitor and record residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of living areas, ensuring a safe environment for all residents.
Support healthcare professionals in administering treatments and medications as directed.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
Ability to work effectively within a team while also being capable of working independently.
A caring attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents.
