We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
Provide patient care and support to individuals in various settings, including senior care and assisted living facilities.
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
Engage in behaviour management techniques to support individuals with challenging behaviours.
Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
Service user Description
Service user is a 54-year-old individual, sustained a spinal cord injury after a fall from his E bike. Following posterior C4 - C6 decompression surgery, he is presently under the care of his family, friends, and a comprehensive 24-hour Despite limited hand function, Service user can communicate effectively in English and actively participates in directing his own care. He requires full assistance with bladder and bowel management as well as feeding. Additionally, he relies on non-invasive ventilation for sleep-disordered breathing management and is at an elevated risk for pressure ulcers.
