We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities, implement care plans, and maintain a safe environment for our clients. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication reminders.
Implement care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Foster positive relationships with clients through effective communication and empathy.
Drive to clients' homes when required, providing care in various settings as needed.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary.
Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to ensure clear communication with clients and team members.
Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software systems.
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients' needs.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to manage individual tasks effectively.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
