Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in both care home and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standards of care. You will play a vital role in implementing care plans and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the nursing staff. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs. Engage patients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive patients to appointments or social outings as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with patients and colleagues. Basic IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting patients when needed. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
