Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable
Care Assistant
to join our dedicated team in a reputable nursing home. The ideal candidate will support residents with daily living tasks, promote dignity and independence, and deliver person-centred care at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
Support residents with mobility, nutrition, and hydration needs.
Maintain accurate and clear daily care records.
Promote resident independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Assist with medication prompts (if required and trained).
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
Follow care plans and report any changes in residents' conditions.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and infection control standards.
Work as part of a team to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Be flexible to work
days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
as needed.
Requirements
Previous care experience in a nursing home or similar setting (preferred).
Genuine compassion and commitment to caring for older adults.
Ability to work

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and policies.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (advantage but not required).
