Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals through personal support and assistance with daily activities.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Follow care plans established by healthcare professionals to meet the individual needs of each resident. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Maintain accurate records of care provided Ensure cleanliness and safety within the care home environment. Support residents in engaging in social activities and encourage participation in community events. Communicate clearly with residents, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with residents and staff. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential. Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
