Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, respecting their dignity and privacy. Support patients in daily activities, including meal preparation and medication reminders. Follow individualised care plans accurately, documenting any changes or concerns. Maintain clear communication with patients, their families, and healthcare teams to ensure cohesive care delivery. Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance patient wellbeing. Assist with light domestic duties within care settings to promote a clean and safe environment. Drive or accompany patients on outings or appointments as required, ensuring safe transportation. Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided. Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of patients. Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication. Basic IT skills for documentation and updating patient records. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others' wellbeing. Ability to work flexibly across various shifts as required by the role.
