Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including home care and care homes. This role requires effective communication skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement care plans.

Responsibilities

THIS INDIVIDUAL REQUIRES SUPPORT WITH JEJ FEEDING & CONSTANT SUPERVISION.*
Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Support patients in maintaining their personal hygiene and overall well-being. Help with mobility and transportation needs, including driving patients to appointments when necessary. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure understanding of care plans and health needs. Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development as required.

Skills

Previous experience in home care or a similar healthcare setting is desirable. Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes. Ability to drive is advantageous for providing patient transportation. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
