We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients. A valid driving licence is preferred for this role, as it may involve travelling to provide home care services.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Follow individual care plans to ensure that each resident's needs are met effectively.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.
Support with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment for all residents.
Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
Experience
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with residents and team members.
Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using electronic care management systems.
