Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively and follow care plans will be crucial in delivering high-quality care. This position requires a proactive attitude and the ability to drive to various locations as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions or behaviours to the nursing staff. Maintain accurate records of patient care and activities as required. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is required. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Basic IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation. Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting patients or travelling between locations but not essential. A caring nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
