Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient progress. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Drive patients to appointments or activities when necessary, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider. Help create a positive and supportive environment for patients within care homes or home care settings. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills in healthcare assistance.

Requirements

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining patient records is advantageous. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles that involve transporting patients. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. A compassionate attitude towards providing care and support to vulnerable individuals.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: 550.00-1,500.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 48 per week
