Job Summary

We are urgently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting patients within a care home or home care setting. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients, and maintaining high standards of care. Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility assistance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans to ensure personalised support for each client. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and needs. Drive to clients' homes as required, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to all road safety regulations. Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of client information. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to healthcare practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is essentia. Familiarity with developing and following care plans is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is desirable for those required to travel between locations. A willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic healthcare environment is essential.
