We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including home care and care homes. Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Monitor and record patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care setting, ensuring a safe environment for all. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. Drive patients to appointments or assist with transportation as needed.

Skills

Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining patient records and documentation. Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Excellent command of English, both spoken and written, for clear communication with patients and colleagues. Experience in home care or within a care home setting is highly desirable. Ability to drive is an advantage for transporting patients when necessary. Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for building trust with patients.
