We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals and ensuring the well-being of patients. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care, maintaining patient dignity, and fostering a positive environment within our healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Assist with patients in recovery from theatre.
Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness or anxiety.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of wards and other patient areas, ensuring a safe environment and in line with Infection Prevention and Control policies.
Assist in the preparation of meals and feeding patients as required.
Support healthcare professionals with medical procedures and documentation as needed.
Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Flexibility to meet the needs of the business/patients
Experience
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations within a healthcare environment is advantageous.
