We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Previous experience in care environments is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Duties
Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation tools
Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Support with domestic tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry
Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as required
Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
Respond promptly to residents' needs and report any concerns or changes in condition to senior staff
Skills
Good driving skills and a valid driving licence are desirable for supporting home care visits and outings
Experience working within a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not mandatory
Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately
Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Compassionate attitude with strong interpersonal skills
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations professionally
