We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff promptly.
Help with feeding patients who require assistance, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient areas, including changing bed linens and tidying up.
Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
Assist healthcare professionals with medical procedures as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with organisational policies.
Skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Empathy and patience when dealing with individuals who may be experiencing distress or discomfort.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when required.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of healthcare practices is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
