We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes to ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for this position.
Duties
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting residents with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Supporting the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs.
Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.
Monitoring and reporting any changes in residents' health or behaviour to the nursing staff.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
Documenting care provided and maintaining accurate records using IT systems.
Communicating effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
A good command of English for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
