Job Summary

This job opportunity is located in Oadby so ideally carers will need to be close by or have access to their own car.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standards of care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and have a genuine drive to improve the quality of life for those in their care.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as required. Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Maintain accurate care plans and documentation for each patient. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the care environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. A strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. IT skills for maintaining digital records and care plans are advantageous. A genuine passion for providing high-quality patient care and support. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. A valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving travel between locations.
